Club History

In 2004 the club was awarded ‘Club of the Year’ by the SIMTA association. This was awarded due to the high standard and performance of students over the course of several gradings in 2004. 95% of my students double graded with several students achieving the ‘Highest Grading Record’ award.

In January 2005 the club went under a transformation as I decided to leave the SIMTA association that I had been a member of for 12 years. This meant that everything about the existing club had to be changed. Uniforms, posters, flyers, insurances etc all had to be changed within 2 weeks. I would like to thank all my students for making this possible.

Currently the club has 1 Red armband student, Jason Curtis, 18 and a number of students who have shown an interest in fighting. It is still believed that Jason Curtis was one of the youngest students in the Country to receive the Red Armband Instructor grade.

Jason Curtis has now been training with me for 6 years and is now an instructor. Please refer to the class time section of the site for details of when Jason’s classes take place.

The club has a limited number of student who are interested in fighting. Refer to the students page for details.
